But they said, “Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people.”
But they said, Not during the feast, lest a tumult arise among the people.
But they said, “It must not be during the festival (Passover), otherwise there might be a riot among the people.”
But they said, It must not be during the Feast, for fear that there will be a riot among the people.
But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people.
“Not during the festival,” they said, “so there won’t be rioting among the people.”
But they agreed that it shouldn’t happen during the feast so there wouldn’t be an uproar among the people.
but they said, “Not during the festival, or the people will riot.”
But they said, “We must not do it during Passover, because the people will riot.”
but they said, Not in the feast, that there be not a tumult among the people.
But they were saying, “Not during the Feast, in order that no uproar may take place among the people”.
But they said: Not on the festival day, lest perhaps there should be a tumult among the people.
They said, “We cannot arrest Jesus during Passover. We don’t want the people to become angry and cause a riot.”
They said to each other, ‘We do not want to take hold of him during the Passover festival. If we do that, the people will be angry and they may fight against us.’
But they said, “Not during the Festival, or else there might be a riot among the people.”
But they said, “Not during the feast, lest there be an uproar among the people.”
But they said, “Not during the feast, lest there be an uproar among the people.”
But they said, “We must not do it during the ·feast [Passover festival], because the people might cause a riot.”
But they said, Not on the feast day, lest any uproar be among the people.
But they said, “We shouldn’t arrest him during the festival, or else there may be a riot among the people.”
“We must not do it during the festival,” they said, “or the people will riot.”
“Not during the festival,” they said, “so there won’t be rioting among the people.”
But they said, “We must not do it during the feast. The people might cause a riot.”
But they kept saying, “This must not happen during the festival. Otherwise, there’ll be a riot among the people.”
At that very time the chief priests and elders of the people had assembled in the court of Caiaphas, the High Priest, and were discussing together how they might get hold of Jesus by some trick and kill him. But they kept saying, “It must not be during the festival or there might be a riot.”
But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people.
But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people.
But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people.
But they were saying, “Not during the festival, lest a riot occur among the people.”
But they were saying, “Not during the feast, so that there will not be an uproar among the people.”
“But not during the Passover celebration,” they agreed, “for there would be a riot.”
At that very moment, the party of high priests and religious leaders was meeting in the chambers of the Chief Priest named Caiaphas, conspiring to seize Jesus by stealth and kill him. They agreed that it should not be done during Passover Week. “We don’t want a riot on our hands,” they said.
But they said, “Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people.”
But they said, “Not during the feast, lest there be a riot among the people.”
But they said, “We shouldn’t arrest him during the festival, or else there may be a riot among the people.”
But they said, “Not during the festival, that there may not be a riot among the people.”
But they were saying, “Not during the festival, otherwise a riot might occur among the people.”
But they were saying, “Not during the festival, otherwise a riot might occur among the people.”
However, they said, “It must not occur during the feast, or the people may begin to riot.”
But they said, “We must not do it during the feast, because the people might cause a riot.”
But they said, “Not during the feast, so that there won’t be a riot among the people.”
“But not during the feast,” they said. “The people may stir up trouble.”
“But not during the festival,” they said, “or there may be a riot among the people.”
‘But not during the festival,’ they said, ‘or there may be a riot among the people.’
But they said, “Not during the feast, lest there be an uproar among the people.”
But they said, “This must not happen on the day of the special supper. The people would be against it. They would make much trouble.”
“But not during the Passover celebration,” they agreed, “or the people may riot.”
But, they said, not on the holy day, lest any uproar arise among the people.
But they said, ‘Not during the festival, or there may be a riot among the people.’
But they said, ‘Not during the festival, or there may be a riot among the people.’
But they said, “Not during the festival, or there may be a riot among the people.”
But they said, “Not during the festival, or there may be a riot among the people.”
“We’d better not try anything at the feast,” they said. “We don’t want the people to riot.”
But they were saying, Not during the Chag (Feast), lest a riot break out among the am haaretz. [T.N. A careful reading of this book shows that the Moshiach pointed to the One in Ps 110:1, Dan 7:13, and Isa 53 and Ps 118:22 and declared that the same person is being referred to in all these Scriptures: Moshiach Adoneinu.]
But they said, “Not at the feast, lest any uproar be among the people.”
But they said, “Not during the feast, lest there be a tumult among the people.”
But they said, “Not during the feast, lest there be a tumult among the people.”
“But not during the festival,” they were saying, “so there won’t be a riot among the people.”
Chief Priests: We shouldn’t try to catch Him at the great public festival. The people would riot if they knew what we were doing.
But they said, “Not during the feast, lest a riot occur among the people.”
But they said, `Let us not do it on the day of the feast. We do not want the people to start fighting about it.'
but they said, Not in the holiday [soothly they said, Not in the feast day], lest peradventure noise were made in the people.
and they said, `Not in the feast, that there may not be a tumult among the people.'
